Boards & Committees |
|
These are the community volunteers who take the time out of their busy schedules to assist our community by helping make the pivotal decisions at United Way.
The Board of Directors, composed of up to 48 volunteers, is elected at the
annual meeting in March for three-year terms. It is ultimately responsible for
all aspects of United Way of Broome County.
Members
of the board serve on the Executive Committee, which oversees the
day-to-day operation of United Way of Broome County; the Administrative
Services Committee, which oversees the building and grounds, personnel,
finances, and other internal operations of the organization; and the Nominating
Committee, which suggests volunteers to be elected to the board as new
members and a slate of candidates for possible election as new officers.
Other
divisions, committees, and subcommittees include both board members and non
members.
